It is possible to convert the waste to useful resources like the regenerated material or thermal energy if treated in the appropriate way. It can be the approach to reduce the treatment involving high load to environment such as incineration or landfill.
The waste coming from our comfortable life or industrial activities may destroy the environment if not treated properly. “Recycling” is a means of restraining the environmental destruction as it can reduce the waste and improve the utilization of resources, but it also builds up the basis for industrial activities to enrich our life. Chusai is tackling with the new “recycling” such as the utilization of regenerated materials = material recycling and reuse as thermal energy = thermal recycling. We seek for the way to prolong the life of materials, for example, regeneration of plastics as pellets, conversion of waste wood to chips to use as raw materials for the pulp or as fuel for the boiler, Conversion of waste glasses to cullet, reuse of the sludge and the residue due to animals and plants as fertilizer and potting compost, methane fermentation of waste acid and waste alkali to produce fuel. The continuing industrial growth might create new industrial wastes including something not treatable by the conventional technology. We will continue to develop various treatment technologies and reinforce the tie-up with the new partners, and will propose the recycling process to meet any kind of requirements.
